But sometimes, it makes me even more tired.

This is puzzling: I'm exercising, so why am I still so tired?

The reason is that there is more than one type of fatigue. Treating all fatigue as "lack of physical strength" is like using the same medicine for all headaches—sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't work at all, and sometimes it makes things worse.

Fatigue has several completely different sources.

Nervous system fatigue

This is the most common and often misunderstood fatigue among modern people.

Fatigue of the nervous system is not muscle weakness, but rather the loss of its regulatory ability after the nervous system has been in a state of overactivation for a long time. The sympathetic nervous system has been in a dominant position for a long time, and the parasympathetic nervous system has never had the opportunity to take over. The body is always "preparing for battle" and has never truly entered a state of "repair".

This kind of fatigue cannot be resolved by physical training. In fact, if you do high-intensity exercise when your nervous system is fatigued, you are adding more load to an already overloaded system—the fatigue will not decrease, but will only deepen.

Structural fatigue

When the body operates in a misaligned state, it requires a lot of energy to maintain that misalignment—the superficial muscles continuously contract to compensate for the absence of the deep systems, the joints bear the load under compression, and the fascia transmits force under adhesion.

These are all forms of energy consumption, but they don't consume the physical strength you exert during exercise; rather, they consume the background energy needed to maintain basic bodily functions.

Many people feel tired no matter what they do, not because they do too much, but because their bodies are using too much energy to maintain an inefficient operating state.

Accumulation of metabolic waste

When lymphatic circulation is impaired and cellular metabolic waste cannot be effectively removed, tissues slowly become soaked in inflammatory substances. This chronic, low-grade inflammation is one of the most common sources of fatigue.

You don't lack energy; your energy is being depleted by inflammation.

Disconnect between perception and body

This is the least discussed source of fatigue.

When you live in a state of "autopilot" for a long time—completing tasks, switching tasks, and continuing to complete tasks—and rarely truly feel your own body, an inexplicable fatigue will slowly accumulate.

It's not the exhaustion of physical strength, but the loss of a sense of existence. The body is functioning, but the "you" inside it seems to have been absent for a long time.

Why does "exercising more" sometimes make you more tired?

High-intensity exercise stimulates the sympathetic nervous system—increased heart rate, increased adrenaline secretion, and the body enters a highly activated state.

For someone whose nervous system is already overloaded, this stimulus is like adding another string to an already strained system.

After exercising, you might feel a little better temporarily—that's the effect of endorphins. But a few hours later, the deeper fatigue returns, sometimes even worse than before.

This doesn't mean exercise is bad, but rather that this type of exercise isn't what this kind of fatigue requires.

How does Chanrou deal with true fatigue?

Chanrou's approach to fatigue is completely different from high-intensity exercise—it doesn't try to overcome fatigue with more stimulation, but rather addresses the root cause of fatigue.

Let the nervous system truly rest

The gentle, rhythmic breathing and spinal undulations continuously stimulate the vagus nerve, allowing the parasympathetic nervous system to take over. This is not ordinary relaxation—it's the nervous system actively switching from "preparedness" mode to "repair" mode.

The sense of clarity that many people describe after Chanrou's class is not just about muscle relaxation, but about the nervous system truly settling down—that tension that has been suspended in mid-air for a long time has finally landed.

Efficiency of rebuilding the body

When the deep core system is activated, when the spine regains its space, and when the joints no longer operate under compression—the background energy required for the body to maintain basic functions is greatly reduced.

The energy that was previously wasted on maintaining inefficient postures is now released. You're not just more physically fit; you're just wasting less energy.

Promote lymphatic circulation and remove accumulated waste.

The gentle, deep diaphragmatic breathing and spinal undulations significantly improve lymphatic circulation. Metabolic waste accumulated in the tissues is effectively cleared, chronic inflammation is reduced, and the feeling of being "soaked in fatigue" gradually dissipates.

Bring you back into your body

The graceful movements require your full presence—a three-dimensional spiral cannot be accomplished by autopilot. You must feel your body, feel what is happening in this moment.

This process of "returning to the body" has a very direct effect on the fatigue of that disconnect between perception and body—it doesn't use more stimulation to invigorate you, but rather lets you truly be here, allowing that lost sense of existence to slowly return.

Fatigue is your body telling you something.

Every kind of fatigue is a message.

It's telling you that something is wrong with the balance somewhere—the balance of the nervous system, the balance of the body's structure, the balance of metabolism, or the balance of the connection between you and your body.

Attributing all fatigue to "poor physical strength" and then trying to solve it with more physical training is like hearing a fire alarm and choosing to turn it off—the problem isn't solved, only the signal is eliminated.

Listen to fatigue, understand what it's saying, and then respond accordingly—that's the real way to deal with fatigue.

Poor physical strength may only be the most superficial reason for fatigue.

Beneath that surface, there is often a deeper imbalance waiting to be seen.

[37

post-5713","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-37
["GET
