It is an essential way for us to experience ourselves, understand ourselves, and connect with the world around us.

Over the years, she has continued to explore the relationship between the body and movement through yoga, Ballet Pilates, the Feldenkrais Method®, and other mind-body practices. Along this journey, the GYROTONIC® Method has resonated with her most deeply. Its fluid, continuous, three-dimensional movements, combined with breath and rhythm, allow the body not only to develop strength and stability, but also to rediscover a sense of space, freedom, and ease.

Experiencing these changes in her own body became an important part of what inspired Yi-Ping to teach. She believes that every body has its own history and rhythm, and that teaching is not about asking everyone to meet the same standard. Instead, she guides students to become more aware of their own bodies through movement, gradually release unnecessary tension, build strength and stability, and discover ways of moving that feel more natural and comfortable.

Yi-Ping’s teaching style is warm, attentive, and detail-oriented. She uses relatable imagery and clear, accessible cues to turn seemingly complex movements into experiences that students can understand and feel in their own bodies. She hopes that each student can explore the possibilities of movement at their own pace, gradually finding greater fluidity, lightness, and ease, and carry that sense of freedom and vitality into everyday life.

What are your expectations for your body?
