# Chanrou Sports Student testimonials
Recommended by Hua Jie, a student of teacher Andie:
Before I knew it, Chanrou and I had been together for five years. It started out of curiosity, but now it has become my daily ritual. Every morning, I set aside twenty minutes to practice Chanrou on the mat, like pressing the power button on my body, gently awakening the energy for the day.
My weekly weight training class is the time I look forward to most. Under the guidance of my favorite instructor, Andie, and with the support of the equipment and her manual techniques, each class feels like a full-body rejuvenation. My chest opens up, my body becomes more upright and has more space; that feeling of stretching and exhilaration is something no other exercise can replace.
I've always considered myself a "body noob," and initially only preferred machine-based exercises. But as my control over my body gradually improved, I also fell in love with mat exercises. The greatest charm of mat exercises is that they can be done "anytime, anywhere": as long as you're willing, even on the subway, you can subtly allow your pelvis to arch and curl, giving your stiff spine a moment of relief.
In group classes, rising and falling with the music, every movement feels like the spine dancing. At that moment, a strong sense of emotion wells up inside me—I am cherishing myself in this way, gently caring for myself.
I hope everyone can give themselves a chance to be curious and experience the charm of Chanrou. Perhaps, like me, you too can step from being a "Muggle" into this gentle yet profound practice and find your own sense of freedom and balance.
